RPG: Metanoia.. Astig!

I've watched this last Dec. 25, 2010 with my bf and his siblings. I like the RPG: Metanoia movie, it's a great improvement for our Philippine Animation movie industry. A little more tweak and we can compete internationally with other animation. The story is also great. They include our very own "larong pangkalye" like Piko, patentero, moro-moro, tumbang preso and a lot more. All my childhood memories flashback in my mind.. nakakamiss. The jeepneys, tricycles, electric fan and the bangus, rice, and un gulay  made me smile.. ang galing.. Pinoy na Pinoy!  The musical scoring is also great.. swak na swak! Let's support our very own Pinoy made animation. Kudos to the RPG: Metanoia team.. ang Astig nyo!

Icing's Chocolate Muffin

I went home around 9:30pm last Saturday. As I crossed the street between Serendra and Market Market, I saw a posting of  " 20% off on All Breads after 9:00pm". So I went inside  Icing's bakeshop and checked out the breads and cakes. I bought a Raisin loaf and Chocolate Muffins. Both breads are good. The muffin is much tastier when you heat it again  in the microwave oven. yum! The photo below is Catcat posing with the muffin.

Dinner at Bubbagump

This was a dinner out bonding with my BF's  ex-officemates. I arrived late due to traffic. They already finished eating their dinner. Ok now, let's talk about the foods that they ordered.

The Shrimper's Heaven. A mix of Coconut Shrimp, Chilly Shrimp, Fried Shrimp, Tempura Shrimp,Fries, and of course Dippin’ Sauces. It was yummy, especially the Chilly shrimp. We couldn't get enough of this so we ordered another one.

Bubba's Baked Seafood and Rice. Sorry, I wasn't able to taste it because I was late but it looks yummy.

The Calamari rings. I love this. I always ordered this every time I dine at Bubba gump.

The Pasta. My Bf ordered  “...Of Course We Have Scampi!”. This was my first time to try it and I like it. Tender Shrimp sautéed with Capers in Lemon-Garlic, Butter, served over a bed of Linguini. Yumyum!

After the dinner we went to Starbucks to have some coffees. It was a great night.

Saturday Lunchout with my Family

Last December 11, 2010, me and my family went to Gerry's Grille to eat lunch. It's my Post Birthday Celebration. I planned this a month ago, I  wanted to treat them out  for a change.  We went to Gerry's around 12PM. Good thing there were only a few people when we came in. We ordered Beef Kare-kare, Crispy Pata, Grilled Squid, Gerry's Friend Chicken,  Chopsuey and Pitchers of Iced Tea.

The Beef Kare-kare tasted ok  but I like the version of Max's Resto, much tastier and better in my opinion.

The Crispy Pata is delicioso! I noticed every member of my family asked for this one. This was served hot and crispy. And it's easy to slice/cut.

The Grilled Squid. One of my mom's requests and this is my bf's favorite too.  Catcat said that this is Yummy.. and I agree.

The Chopsuey. We ordered this so we have veggies along side with the Beef  Kare-kare and Crispy Pata. The veggies were fresh and crunchy, it was cooked rightly.

The Gerry's Fried Chicken. Sorry I forgot to take a photo of it. This one is a request from Catcat and Jajan. It comes with French Fries. The two kids enjoyed it. The chicken were crispy and tender. And because of that, Catcat consumed 2 cups of rice.

For the dessert, my bf brought a Strawberry Cheesecake from Contis. It's a birthday cake for me. =) The cake is lovely and sweet to look at. Everyone enjoyed eating this cake. especially the kids. Thank you howe for the cake! ~.~

Below is a photo of my family after the sumptuous lunch. Everyone has a great smiles! =)

My Birthday Cakes

I had two Cakes on my BIrthday last December 9, 2010. First, from Starbucks, I bought a slice of Cake and a Praline Mocha Frap for myself..  celebrating alone.. I'm just joking.. hahaha! :P

My first slice of Cake

 Celebrating my Birthday @Starbucks

The second Cake is courtesy of my LCMS Team. We went to Balay ni Juan to celebrate with the teams' December Birthday Celebrants namely Leslie, Sir Jem, Jo, Tonichi, and me. It was also a Send-off Party for Alreen who will be joining a new company on the 16th of December. We had a great time at Balay ni Juan, lots of food and drink, singing and dancing.. it's like a mini -concert! I really had fun! Celebrating my birthday with you guys is great! Another memorable moment to cherish because it's not usual for me to celebrate my birthday with friends. I'm contented eating at home with my family. Thank you guys!  ~.~

Also, I would like to thank my Howe, Friends and Teammates for helping me out to complete my Starbucks sticker card. I already got my very First Starbucks Planner in Silver. Thank you ulit!!!

Tokyo Cafe at Venice Piazza, McKinley Hills

It was a very tiring Sunday when we had dinner at Tokyo Cafe at Piazza. The place is very nice and comfy. The servers are A-Ok. I remember, there were only 4  tables occupied at that time.

The food. My niece Catcat wanted to eat chicken at first but I told her she already had chicken for lunch and merienda. Still she insisted to eat chicken. Ok fine. So I ordered Chicken Cheese Rolls and Pork Shogayaki for dinner. The Chicken Cheese Rolls were served hot and crispy. But when the hotness is gone.. nakakaumay na sya kainin. So it is best to consume it while it is hot.

Chicken Cheese Rolls

The Pork Shogayaki is yummy! The taste is a mix of ginger, sweetness, saltiness and sour with a pinch of wine taste. This was the first time Catcat tasted this, at first she jokingly said that she didn't like it. But she ate more of it than the Chicken Cheese Rolls. She ate 2 cups of rice because of that. She really has a big appetite.

Pork Shogayaki

The Dessert. I ordered the Mango Crepe with Ice cream. The presentation of it was so mouth watering. I love the mango ice cream but the mango fruits were a bit sour, so the kid just ate the crepe, and the ice cream with chocolate syrup instead.

Mango Crepe

Catcat enjoying the crepe.. ayaw mamigay! hmp!

Exploring Piazza, I saw this graffiti art wall. It was situated beside the Red Crab Resto. It was cute so we took some photos. Below is Catcat doing her pose.

We also saw these 3 wacky creatures. They're so cool and funny. By the way you need to give some money on their box to activate them. Or you can get and run with their money box, they'll run to you.. promise! That's what I did! hahaha! ^_^

McDo's Cheeseburger Meal with Hot Fudge

This is my all time favorite at McDonald's. I love their Cheeseburger! I always order a Hot Fudge so I can dip my French Fries to it.. heaven goodness! My Boyfriend is not fond of eating at Mc Donald's, but I think he already used to it. I worked at McKinley Hills, all the restaurants in the vicinity are pricey. So every time when we can't decide where to eat  and if we don't have enough money...  he always asked me, "Saan mo gusto kumain? Ikaw na magdecide". Me, a tipid-mode girl, always answered "Sa mura lng.. tara McDonald's tayo!" with a big smile.

Paparapapa... Love ko 'to!!! ^.^

Pork Char Siu ala Mel

The first time I tasted Pork Char Siu was when I was in Singapore for vacation. It was so yummi! When I see this recipe from a flyer, I decided to try it out. I bought the ingredients and started cooking around 1am.. yes.. I'm still awake during those times. My version of Pork Char Siu is a bit oily maybe because I chose the wrong parts of a Pork. I'm no good in choosing the right ingredients. Singapore's Char Siu is much much better than mine.. ahahaha! I admit it, I'm not a good cook but I love to try cooking.

My pamangkin, Catcat, was so excited to taste my Pork Char Siu version. Thank God she liked it even though it's a bit oily. Next time will try to cook a chicken version of it.

Keys Cantonese Roasts: Tofu Veggie Roll

This is our 2nd time to eat at Keys. You will find their store at SM Mall of Asia's Food court. The first time we ate here, I was disappointed. The food that I ordered was Honey Pork Spareribs. It was too oily and salty. But my BF was satisfied with his order which is Roast Pork Asado.

 Roast Pork Asado - Php135.00

On our 2nd time, I only ordered their Tofu Veggie Roll while my BF had the same order before.. the Roast Pork Asado. A safe choice. The Tofu Veggie Roll is delicious. It's a mix of ground pork, tofu, and veggies. The sauce is a mix of sweet, sour and nutty taste. Overall, I like it. It is only Php 55.00.

My Christmas Bazaar Experience @ Makati Sports Club

Last November 21, we went to Makati Sports Club  to visit my friends and to explore the bazaar. I didn't eat lunch for that day because I want to try the foods offered at the bazaar. Strolling around, I saw different dishes, most of it are homemade recipes and you can try it for free.  After a few free tasting treats,  I knew what I wanted to eat.. Cheeseburger from Red Wagon. The price is Php100. I was lucky that time because I was the last to order and they gave me 2 burgers for a price of 1. Yippee!

The burgers were freshly cooked. What's best with the burger patties and the buns?  They were all homemade by the owner.

After we bought the burgers, we headed straight to our friends shop at the bazaar. First we stopped at Rachebeli - Tropical wine collection. The photo below is Mia posing with her wine collection. Her wines are organic and Philippine made. I tried the Mango wine and Duhat wine(Black Plum) with chocolates as chaser. I liked the taste of the Black Plum wine, it has a fruity sweet taste so my bf bought me one..hahaha! My bf doesn't like to drink liquors.  By the way, I forgot to say it's very AFFORDABLE and a Great Gift Giveaway for friends and office mates. Rachebeli has a promo:
Get 2 dozen of Black Plum Wine (a red dessert wine) x 360ml@ that are individually packed and with customized labels where you can have your greetings and logo/photo on. It will also have Edible Gift Tags! (Dark Chocolate Bars with your matching labels).

Next table, Angel's Delight. My friend, Rean, sell homemade brownies, chocolate marbles, crinkles, oatmeal cookies  and choco chip cookies. I used to order the Chocolate Marble , brownies and the oatmeal cookies. yumyum! The photo below is my bf promoting the stuffs.

These also  are Great Gift Giveaway this Christmas. The packaging is Perfect, no need to wrap it with a Christmas gift wrapper.

Angel's Delight contact number is 0929-5310576. Free delivery for minimum order of 2 dozen. She can also do meet ups for small orders.

After visiting my friends' shops, we went outside the main shops (but still within the Makati Sports Club) to eat the burgers. I bought  2 cans of regular coke for Php 60 each. (ang mahal!). The Cheeseburger is so tasty and yummy! After we finished the burgers, we saw this shop, Phil Dog Tags. My bf really wanted to have one so we bought a set for Php500. One set is compose of two tags, 1 with 24 inch chain and the other tag has 7 inch chain.  I added Php75 for another 24 inch chain. These tags are customized, you can write anything you want as long as it fits on their form. You can also choose the design of the rubber, they offer different colors.  I  chose the camouflage pink and white, while my bf chose black.  Lastly, you need to wait for 15 minutes to get your customized dog tags.

Gamboa - Uy Wedding

November 20, 2010, it was Jett and Anne's wedding at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Church. We were late.. haayyyss.. super late. The church venue was so lovely and elegant. I also liked the voices of the choir.. they're really good! The songs are so romantic and touchy even the communion song. When the wedding ceremony ended, they played the song "You make me Shine by Regine Velasquez", it was so sweet, it gave me goosebumps. ^_^

After the church ceremony, we went straight to the reception at La Pavillon at Roxas Blvd. The place is big, I think it can accommodate 500 guests. When we arrived at the reception, we first asked the coordinators what table we were assigned and then we went straight to the photo booth. There were cocktail tables outside the main hall, they served California maki and tuna sushi (not sure if it is tuna) and iced tea.

Inside the main hall, the interior design was so lovely and beautiful including the light effects and sound system. I noticed that they have a stage for the live band and another for the Wedding couple. The band's name if I remember it right is Serenade band. They're very good.. Kudos to them!

We were seated at table 25. It was so very cold, good thing I brought my cardigan. They served first the siomai and garlic mushrooms for appetizers.. yumyum!

Sorry I forgot to take photos of the main dishes, salad and the soup. But I have a photo of the dessert.. Blueberry cheesecake and I think it's Buko Pandan Cake. The caterer is VS & F, they have mobile kitchen based from their brochure.

They also get the service of Elation - a mobile bar. I loved their shooters especially the Tequila sunrise and Aphrodite.. sarap, swabe!

I also liked their prenup concept,  their theme is McDonalds, ang galing! The photos were so full of love and sweetness, it's like I'm watching a "Love story @ McDonalds" commercial. Lastly, the couple gave Salt and Pepper Shakers as Souvenirs.. it was so cute!

Congratulations and best wishes to Jett and Anne! Thank you for inviting me and Ronin.
May God bless you both and always stay in love. Ang ganda ng wedding nyo!  ^_^
