I just want to share some photos I took when I visited Singapore's Jurong Bird Park. I just watched the birds show and I had given a chance to participate with it. They have very good trainers. Jurong Bird Park is worth visiting.

Is Commuting @ McKinley Hills, Fort Bonifacio Safe?

This question was asked to me by one of my friends last Saturday. In my opinion, it is safe if you have a car but if you'll commute everyday, it's not safe especially if you used to ride the Gate 3 jeepney. Even though there's a Philippine Army in McKinley Hills.. still it's not safe.

Last June 2009, I had a bad experience riding a Gate 3 jeepney from McKinley Hills going to Market Market. It was around 7pm, I was patiently waiting at the Jeepney Stop. Fast forward. Inside the jeep, there's a man in front of me kept looking at me. But when I look at him he would quickly look at the other direction. Observing his behavior, I have a hunch that this guy is a holdapper. I went down the jeep at Market Market's open fruit section, but still observing if the guy will follow me.. and he did! So I walked fast towards McDonalds and he kept on following me. Good thing there's a Security Guard! I told the security guard regarding the guy. And when the guy noticed that I reported him, he disappeared from the crowd. I informed my family regarding the incident and waited at McDonalds for 30minutes for the arrival of my cousin and brother-in-law. Thank God I'm safe. To describe the guy, he stand 5'6 to 5'7 in height, medium built, brown complexion, wavy to curly hair, round face with round black eyes.

My teammate has a share of bad experience commuting at McKinley Hills. He was holdapped last 2009 around 11pm while riding the Gate 3 jeepney. He gave his new mobile phone and his wallet. Good thing the holdappers didn't hurt him.

Another story from my team lead, dated July 19, 2010, 10am when he was going to the office at One World Square. Inside the Gate 3 jeepney, he witnessed a man put a bubble gum to one of the girl passengers. They kept convincing the girl to remove the bubble gum from her hair; the man in front also offered his help to remove the bubble gum. But the girl ignored all of them maybe she knew the bubble gum modus operandi.

If you're commuting to and from McKinley Hills via a jeepney, you should be Alert, have a pepper spray, go home early and always pray to God for guidance. ;)

Dinner with my family

Looking at these photos makes me smile. It is indeed a sweet memory with my family. I remember my mom's laughter, my 2 super kulit pamangkins, my uncle and of course my dearest howe. These photos were taken last June 20, 2010 at Zhu Restaurant, Fort Bonifacio. We were having dinner after we visited Saint Monique Valais. Oh, I remember, it was Father's day.. I wish my dad was there.

My Crocband Flat

Crocband Flat, the new product of Crocs. I bought it at Vivo City, Singapore for only $64.15 sgd. It is so very comfortable to wear and the retro design is great for everyday walk-arounds. My first choice was the color white but there was no size available for me so I chose the navy blue. I like the color combination of navy blue with a touch of red..cuteness! The color red is also cute. I checked it out at Crocs Bonifacio High Street but it was not yet available. The sales lady said that it will be out here in the Philippines by next month. Check out this link to know more about this product - Crocs' Crocband Flat.

This is my 1st Crocs shoes and i Love it!

Rainy and Windy Wednesday because of Typhoon Basyang

I'm not feeling well today.. wish I'm a kinder or elementary student, why? 'coz I don't have to go to office on this kind of day. I haven't slept well last night due to the typhoon's strong wind and rain. I went out around 3am to check if there's a flood and there was. I even heard the sound of my neighbors' roofs. The Banana tree of my neighbor also fell down. I pray that Typhoon Basyang will get out of our country asap. And also hoping that there's electricity when i get home later.

Jajan's 5th Birthday

Yesterday is Jajan's 5th Birthday. I remember when I was in Singapore (last week, July 3 to 10) my mom told me that Jajan was looking for me. He kept on saying to my mom "Nasaan na si tita? baket ang tagal tagal niya naman umuwi? dapat umuwi na sya". Hearing those stories from my mom made me felt sad coz I miss home too.. i miss the kids., i miss my mom.. and i miss my howe. So when I arrived last July 10, Jajan hugged me so tightly and said "tita baket ang tagal tagal mo umuwi? Birthday ko na tomorrow.. where is my gift?". Aha! that's the reason why he kept on looking for me..hahaha! My pasalubong for him was a spiderman pencil case that was his request. He immediatley transferred his pencils from his old pencil case to the new one.. and said "ang ganda ng pencil case tita". His birthday came and I told him that we will watch Toy Story 3 in 3D at IMAX. Me and my howe treated out the kids. Going home, I saw from Jajan's eyes how happy and enjoyed he was. Well, all of us enjoyed Toy Story 3 but I'm happy with what I witness in my pamangkin's eyes.. genuine happiness from a kid. :)
