Spaghetti Factory @ Glorietta 5

It was a Friday date night, a night before my bf's departure to SG with his siblings for vacation. We were in search for a good resto to eat. The question "San mo gusto kumain" popped out and I answered "anywhere". My bf asked "ano gusto mo kainin" and I replied "hmmm.. pasta naman para maiba". My first choice is The Old Spaghetti House but we  weren't able to find it in Glorietta. So we opt to try the Spaghetti Factory.

The Place is good, clean and the servers are very accommodating during that time. The ambiance is homey. We chose the table located at the veranda for a change.. overlooking Glorietta 4 and Ascott hotel. The store manager was the one who took our orders. My orders were Carbonara Alla Elizabeta and Fried Calamari Rings. My bf ordered Monster Meatballs pasta.

Fried Calamari Ring (Php 99). This one is good. My bf ate most of my share; maybe he's really hungry at that time. Overall, the calamari rings were cooked rightly and the sauce was great.

Carbonara Alla Elizabeta. Love the creaminess of this pasta. It's a mix of Ham, egg, bacon and their secret herb cream sauce. A must try!

Monster Meatball (Php 189.00). The meatball was huge. My bf  liked the taste of the pasta but not the olives. I had a taste of this and for me the carbonara is much better.

My overall experience with this resto is great. I will definitely come back to try their other foods in their menu.

Lunch at Bahay Kawayan

This is a late post. Last December 4, me, my bf and his 2 younger sisters went to Saint Monique Valais to check my auntie's unit. After we visited SMV, we went to their cousin's house at Angono, Rizal. His cousin's wife suggested to eat out at Bahay Kawayan since she didn't cooked food for lunch because she was alone at home.

Bahay Kawayan is situated along the hi-way so it is easy to locate. The only problem with the area is parking. In my opinion, Bahay Kawayan is a Traditional Filipino Restaurant. The place is homey. Most of their servers were a bit old based on my observation. Anyhow the menu is printed in the paper served as a plate mat.

The foods. For appettizer, we ordered Enseladang Mangga. For those who didn't know Enseladang Mangga, it's a famous Filipino food. A mix of salty eggs, green mangoes, onions and tomatoes.. yummy!

The Crispy Pata. My Bf's sister who just arive from Canada wanted to eat Crispy Pata. This was perfectly cooked..crispy and tender.

Sinigang na Isda. Sorry, I don't know the name of the fish. This one is also delicious. I like the sourness of the soup plus the fish was  freshly cooked.

Inihaw na Pusit. My Bf's favorite. This one was grilled perfectly. Sweet and yummy to taste.

Overall, it was a great experience eating at Bahay Kawayan. I will visit this again to try their other menus. By the way, I'm not sure if they accept credit card transactions.

Thanks Ate Avic for the lunch treat! Sarap! ^.^

My Maid Invests in the Stock Market .. by Bo Sanchez

I bought this book simply because I want to try to invest in the stock market but I don't have the guts to do it. One of the reasons why I can't invest in the Stock Market because I'm not yet done building my emergency fund. Also, investing in Stock Market is too RISKY but it will give you higher returns. I've searched  for reviews of this book in the net and based from those reviews this book is a good read. This book is also recommended by my friend who also persuade me to try BPI's Equity Fund. I will try to read it and maybe it might change my thoughts and lessen my fear in investing.

Girl Bonding at Cyma Restaurant

This is a late post. Me and my girlfriends from college went out to bond and chitchat over dinner at Cyma Restaurant at Greenbelt. It's been a year since me and my friends had a get together. Before we start to talk about our lives we ordered first. We ordered Roka Pasta, Roka Salad, Paidakia, and Spinach and artichoke Fondue.

The Roka Salad. This one is so delicious! It has a unique taste, a mix of sweetness, a little bit spicy, sour,  hmmm.. I'm out of words.. basta for me, I will order this again if  i'm going back to Cyma. It also has candied walnuts. Yummy!

The Spinach and artichoke Fondue. This one is also yummy! I love the mix taste of sun-dried tomatoes, melting cheese and feta. Especially when you combine it with pita and the garlic bread. yummy!

The Paidakia. Cyma's most popular food. It is a char-grilled lamb ribs. Tender and so tasteful. I'm not into lambs but this one is also good.

The Roka Pasta. I did not enjoy this pasta. You know why? Because this was served late and my stomach was so full of the salad, ribs and the fondue. But, I still tried a little serving of it and it tasted good.

Overall, I enjoyed my bonding moments with my girlfriends. I missed them so much. Oh by the way, we went to Starbucks to drink coffee and to continue our chikkas. We went home around 1am.
